Divine Diary Ch 06 Cosmic Light 1.0

Regarding Su Hao’s request for a younger sibling, his parents agreed. As for when it would happen, it was undetermined. 

The reason why Su Hao had made this request was to be considerate. 

He knew that his goals were different from other people. In the future, he wasn’t certain that he could be a filial son. He also didn’t know if he could pretend to be a real son. So to make up for his future self not having time to accompany his parents, he brought up this matter of having another child. 

Right now, the family had a lot of savings and there were no financial burdens. The only concern was whether or not his parents were willing to raise another one. 

In reality, Su Hao had thought too much of it. Su Hao’s parents had long been considering a second child. Only, Su Hao had been so clingy when he was young, that his parents wanted to take his feelings into account and hadn’t brought up a second child, and gradually they stopped bringing it up to each other. 

Birthing a genius like Su Hao made Su Hao’s parents have a lot of confidence in their genes. Giving birth to a few more was a way of contributing to the country, for the benefit of society, for the benefit of mankind.

Once Su Hao obtained enough of the foundational academic knowledge, he plunged headfirst into programming and compiling. He wanted to learn it as quickly as possible and start creating a system for his marble room.

A year later, Su Hao was 12. He successfully made a program for the messy marble space and then classified it. 

Math, physics, chemistry, biology, IT, manufacturing, agriculture, astronomy, art, weaponry, etc. were all categories. He named this basic program “Cosmic Light 1.0”. He referred to it as Little Light. 

At the same time, Su Hao gained a two months old chubby younger brother named Luo Chaoxin.

The next year, Su Hao turned 13. In the marble room, he successfully implemented a search function and could quickly looked up needed information. It was upgraded to “Cosmic Light 1.1”. 

An adapted version of “Romance of the Three Kingdoms” was published and was very popular. The piano piece “Forest Rhapsody” came online. The greatest genius. 

Another year passed, Su Hao turned 14. Cosmic Light was now able to record anywhere at anytime and automatically program, classify, store, and it had added different classifications and ways to interact with information. It even successfully compiled a timetable. It was upgraded to “Cosmic Light 1.2”

Su Hao’s younger brother Luo Chaoxin grew into a naughty child. He looked like he was dumb, but his parents insisted that he was clever. This dumb-looking but clever child received the attention of the whole country. 

Su Hao couldn’t help but pity the dummy. For his younger brother that grew up in the shadow of such a brilliant older brother, the difficulty of his life was a nightmare. He would never be able to catch up to his brother in a lifetime, and he was always being compared against and then rejected. So pitiful. 

That year, an adapted “Water Margin” was published. Sold like hot pancakes. Su Hao became China’s undisputed foremost scholar of a generation. He was nominated as the literature association’s vice president. 

A new piano piece “Autumn Whispers” went online and was popularized across the world and he became a rising musician. People were always talking about Su Hao. 

Time passed and Su Hao continued to learn and experiment. After a year, Su Hao was 15. The marble room had become more full. All of the information had been connected by “Cosmic Light 1.3”, categorized and organized. Every moment that information passed through Su Hao’s senses would then be automatically analyzed, compared, classified, and stored, waiting for whenever Su Hao needed to recall it. 

This year, Su Hao had already become an elegant and handsome young man. A young, rich, good-looking, knowledgeable genius was the dream lover for many old aunties.  

And Su Hao’s younger brother who had turned 3 became his parents’ new favorite to dote on. Luo Chaoxin was pampered and arrogant and became the little devil of the family due to being treated like he was the best and had the highest status in the house.  

Of course, he was wrong. In front of Su Hao, he still had to lie down obediently.

While Su Hao was programming the marble room in his own room, Luo Chaoxin actually rode his little tricycle, armed with a bunch of toys, rode into Su Hao’s room, and began to fire at Su Hao with a toy gun. “Dududu”

He was lifted by Su Hao with one foot and thrown out the like he was mopping the floor. When he turned back, he saw his tricycle, toys, and toy gun also getting tossed out. 

Luo Chaoxin cried and bawled, tearfully looking at his parents by the side, begging for help. However, his parents pretended to not see anything, not even farting in his direction. Only now did Luo Chaoxin realize who was number one in this household.

These years, Su Hao became more and more familiar with the various disciplines, and it was because of that he came to understand the brilliance of human civilization. Having researched this world so deeply, he admired those scientists of this world who had dedicated their lives to research. 

He could also understand how incredible it was for his consciousness to reside in the tiny wormhole.

Recently, Su Hao’s topic of research was “big data” . Big data’s end goal was artificial intelligence. The current big data was limited by the computing power of the supercomputers and was far from reaching the level of true artificial intelligence. But even so, the changes that big data brought to daily living could still reveal a clue.  

With the passage of time, the marble room accumulated more and more information. Su Hao’s compilation system would link the information together and the future could be predicted. The marble room’s “Cosmic Light” was bound to become an AI, which was one of Su Hao’s goals. 

Su Hao’s consciousness entered the marble room. 

Now the marble room’s space was no longer barren but was filled with technology. It was like a futuristic spaceship. It was densely packed with displays in the air, with unending various kinds of data flashing across them. On top was a digital clock which had been unceasingly ticking since its conception. 

The display showed 1 year 3 months 20 days 15 hours 21 minutes 25 seconds. That meant a year and three months had passed since its conception. The numbers kept jumping, changing every second that passed by. 

The main screen wasn’t for classifications, but instead more for recording journal logs. Su Hao could review any recent information from the log.   

“1 year 3 months 19 days 0 hours 0 minutes 0 seconds,

“The update to ‘Cosmic Light 1.3’ has been completed and speed has improved by 0.01%;

‘Transmitting sense technology’ has been recorded and a learning schedule has been arranged. Current progress 0.01%;

Doctoral dissertation “Big data and AI’s trends, applications, and future developments” has been formatted and can be published at any time. 

Invitation for Professor Gao’s “Research on the design of quantum communication equipment” has expired and will be automatically deleted after three days. 

Comparing the room to before, the main computer was offset by 1 mm, the trash was 3 cm away, the lid of the bottle was rotated 3 degrees… conclusion: Su Hao entered the room, hit the computer, bumped into the trash can, and opened the water bottle.

Comparing the room to before, there is an unknown liquid on the ground… Conclusion: Luo Chaoxin blew his nose into the ground.
